Training the dairy farmers and officials, helping universities build up their capacities to train and educate students on the dairy sector and exchange programs between Sri Lankan and the New Zealand dairy industry are also being explored, the chamber said.
Sri Lanka based dairy firm including Lanka Milk Foods, Lucky Lanka Group of Companies, Nestle Lanka PLC, Richlife Dairies Limited, Cargills (Ceylon) PLC, as well as chamber officials had met the delegation.
Support is to be provided a Dairy Cooperation Arrangement signed by Sri Lankan External Affairs Minister GL Peiris and New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully last year.
New Zealand is a top dairy exporter in the world.
